My Title

You've been involved with Ad 2 Honolulu for a while, can you share some insights to what you've gained/learned?

I've learned that if you want to succeed in your career, you need to surround yourself with like-minded people who share the same ambitions and interest as you do. Ad 2 is the perfect place to be surrounded by your peers who are also starting off their career in the Marketing/Advertising industry and you can learn from each other while making lasting friendships. You gain from Ad 2 what you put into the organization, so if you are serious about learning new skills get involved as much as you can before you age out. If you have an idea for a project that you might not have the opportunity to implement at your job, Ad 2 is the prefect place to do it. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, just make sure you learn from it and do it better next time. Remember, you're volunteering your time so they can't fire you. No scared, just rush em!

Which committees were you involved in, and do you have a favorite?

I was involved in the Programs and Fundraising committee, held a position as Vice President and now on the Advisory Board. My favorite committee has to be Fundraising because it was fun to put together events and parties while making money for the club. It was a pleasure to meet and work with so many people willing to donate their time, services or just items for our silent auctions because they believed in what Ad 2 Honolulu does for the community.

Where do you work?

This Week Publications as an Account Executive

What do you like to do for fun?

For fun, I like to eat good food, exercise, watch movies and travel

when I can. I love to travel and visit different places around the

country and indulge in their culinary pleasures. I enjoy living an active life and I exercise because I eat a lot.

If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

Friendly, easy going and motivated.

What do you love most about advertising/marketing?

What I love about advertising and marketing is that it is the "gasoline to our economy" and I like being a part of that. It's fascinating that the difference between a $20 pair of jeans and a $200 pair of jeans is a good marketing campaign. I always saw marketing as an extension of art and I enjoy that you have to be creative.

Favorite food?

That's a hard question to answer because I love all types of food but if I had to choose one type, it'd be anything Korean because that is what I grew up eating for most of my life. I'm a steriotypical Korean when it comes to Kim-Chee. I need to have it with any meal that includes rice. If I had to name a few of my Korean dishes, it'd be Kalbi Chim,Jajangmyun, Nengmyn, Soondubu, and Soondae.
