Where do you work?
Part-time at Element Media and part-time at Core Group One.
What do you do?
I'm a Production Assistant at Element Media, a local publication, and do project consultant work at Core Group One. With both companies being small to medium sizes, I get to do a number of things everyday, including everything within but not limited to social media marketing, email marketing, event coordination, some project management, minor web development, and researching, editing and writing for copy, blurbs and articles.
Why did you join Ad 2 Honolulu?
After I graduated with my bachelors in Marketing, I struggled with getting enough work experience required for many of the positions in my field. After talking with friends for advice, someone I knew in advertising referred me to Ad 2, assuring that it would be a great way to get the experience I was seeking and to meet other young professionals in the local advertising/marketing community.
What's the best part about being a part of Ad 2 Honolulu?
I've really enjoyed getting to meet so many different personalities within the same industry and with the same passion and ambition for their careers. Everyone has been so friendly and encouraging of me to get more involved with the club, and I'm excited to start working on this year's public service campaign as it'll provide many great opportunities for me to learn and develop within my field.
What are you hoping to gain from Ad 2 Honolulu?
I'm hoping to gain more knowledge and experience within advertising and marketing, and to make a lot of new friendships and connections within the club.
What do you like to do for fun?
When I have time to spare, I love to go to the beach, watch a movie, catch a live show, or hit up an art gallery. I also hope to start traveling more when I get the chance.
What is your ultimate dream job?
Since I minored in Film Studies in college and am a big film buff, I always thought it would be amazing to own a production company or to be a film producer so I'd get to help produce the films of my choice.
