Account Executive
Tell us about a typical day at work.
What’s great about working at a smaller agency is that it allows me to be an account executive, media buyer, copywriter, occasional photographer and sometimes production artist.
A typical day consists of checking ad schedules, updating and managing client budgets, coordinating events and negotiating entertainment fees for clients, brainstorming for photo shoots, writing editorial for retail publications and working with the art department on creating ad campaigns for clients. And at the end of the day, send out company billing.
How did you get into advertising?
Since I studied marketing, and advertising is an essential part of marketing, it made sense. I like both the business and creative side – seeing a marketing plan come together with the visuals is both rewarding and inspiring. The people in the business are some of the greatest and talented people you’ll ever meet
Why did you join Ad 2 Honolulu?
Being that I was new to the advertising industry, I was looking for a club to join and found Ad 2 Honolulu. I joined Ad 2 because the organization has been around for a long time, has a great reputation, and is active in helping the community. Also, I could meet and collaborate with young professionals from different companies.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Dabble in photography & am learning to play the acoustic. I’m a country music fan and love all television shows that involve music and singing.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Whether I’ll be in a small or large company, I want to surround myself with like-minded individuals.
